The final authority for the operation of the aircraft is, and remains, the pilot in command (14 CFR 91.3).
Specific limitations
- Browser-based calculations may differ from your certified avionics or an approved flight-planning system.
- Tools that assume the standard atmosphere may not reflect the actual conditions on any given day.
- Regulatory calculators reflect the rules as of each tool’s stated review date and may not capture the most recent amendments. Always confirm against the current e-CFR.
- Built-in aircraft weight & balance profiles use representative published values; verify every number against your airplane’s POH and current weighing record.
User responsibility
You are responsible for verifying all planning data against authoritative sources before every flight. The calculators here are a starting point and a learning tool — the final planning numbers you fly must come from approved sources and your own careful cross-check. When in doubt, ask your CFI.
